to make his son become a ‘Man’.
The son has the luxury to behave arrogant, useless, lazy, selfish when he is living under the shelter of his dad. Father enjoys vicariously about his son’s irresponsible character. He knows his son is nothing but him but he gives no preference of privilege over his daughter. Father sees daughter as his mother, that is why she is always special.
But What about the son, who is he? Double.
Father sees his son as double and sees all negative characteristics of him in him. He hates his negative character, such hate comes in the form of harsh words when he deals with his own son and vice versa. The son loves his mom not dad because Dad is his double. Who loves the double. Hence he hates his father.
But when father dies..
He is a changed person, he doesn’t have any luxury of being lazy and useless. Suddenly his father’s character will get implanted in him. He takes the role of his father, he becomes more responsible. The deceased father enters in him and becomes his inner voice. There is all of a change in him dealing with his own children because the grandfather gives a lot of leverage to their grandson’s mistakes, the same will happen here. Sometimes he will be strict to his sons and also give leverage and forgive their mistakes. Why? his father in-him helps him to balance strict and lenient. Now, he has become a perfect father to his children.
First time in life, the son listens to his family problems and moves himself in the place of his deceased father. You will see a ‘Man’ in him and the power of leadership is transferred from father-to-son, this happening will make him a ‘Man’.
This is what his father would have waited to see his son and
the son will definitely miss his father in all walks of life.
Finally, these are the moments a son feels his father is a hero and
proud to be his son.
